The hotel is far from Hua Hin (about a 20 min taxi drive) but there are a few local restuarants and basic shops within walking distance (the local restaurants are definitely worth a try as the food is great and good value). There is little lighting in the local area but the hotel supply a torch in your room (but it might be a good idea to take a smaller pocket torch with you). ?The room was excellent - very clean and plenty of space. They have a huge balcony which was very private with no one over looking.
The pool is lovely - there are plenty of sunloungers and the poolside attendants don't let you lift a finger (placing your towel out for you, moving your bed, getting drinks and food, and bringing well received fruit in the morning and ice lollies in the afternoon). There is very little beach outside the hotel but nice beaches can be found if you go for a wander. There is a road between the pool and beach, however people drive very slowly so it's very safe and it brings the ice cream sellers, food carts, and even elephants when we were there. It also leads to the local restaurants and a couple of bars.
The food is delicious - but as others have said it's as expensive as staying in a European hotel - but we were happy to pay as the service and quality of the food was fantastic (especially in The Beach restaurant and The Other restaurant). Other helpful things to know - you don't need to take a hairdryer (sorry, such a girl thing to mention), or beach towels if you are planning to stay by the pool. Staff are lovely and extremely helpful. Stay in Evason Hotel Hua Hin,it's like a little oasis of calm and perfect for a relaxing holiday! ? |
