Six Senses Hideaway Yao Noi: Phang Nga

frontnightview

The location of Six Senses Hideaway Yao Noi is pretty much perfect. A 20 minute ride from Phuket airport in a very swanky limo and then a very smooth 40 minute boat journey transport you to somewhere which looks like the Thai beach resort you've always dreamed of...

The rooms are really nicely done, with great design.

The food was reliably very good and the "Chefs Table" experience is recommended for that extra special evening. The wine cellar is extensive and the vintage prices reflect the unique but relaxed ambience....however it is still possible to enjoy a very reasonable wine for no more than one would pay at a good London hotel.

And now for the spa. Very well trained staff who do a great variety of massages. We tried plenty of them and were never disappointed. The manicure wasn't up to scratch so give that a miss.

The rubber trees and the red mangrove surround the whole resort area, totally provide the nature environment. This is part of the "Hideaway" ethos. But be honesty, as compared with our other island resorts experiences, like Tahiti and Maldives, you can't expect the white sand beach. Yao Noi is a different kind of island.
