Features of Phu Chi Fa: Phu Chi Fa used to be the communist stronghold in the past. So it was not the popular ancient tourist spot like Doi Mae Salong, Doi Ang Khang or Doi Inthanon. But after the end of the communism, tourists began to incresse here and its reputation is widely known as the unique mountain which has the peak straight up to the sky. Some say that the mountain's shape is like the bottom of the cock.

Being the province of the longest coast in the Eastern Region, Trat is also the owner of most islands in the Eastern Sea. Of all 144 islands lining slong the Eastern Sea starting from Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat, 52 islands are located in Trat Sea including Thailand’s second largest island from Phuket namely Koh Chang and many islands in the area of Moo Koh Chang National Park. As a result, the island’s natural environment is well preserved to be tourists’ visiting places. It will take several times to visit all of the islands which waiting to be admired by tourists.

Trat has the long and narrow shaped area with the cape at the tip of the province bordering the Western Cambodia parallel the coastline from the town till the borderline. There is the beach road along the shore line of 165 km, the longest of the Eastern Region. Half of the beaches’ area is muddy or mixing of mud and stand while the others are narrow front beaches of sand mostly found at the west of Trat Bay which is the destination of Trat River.

The last Thailand’s Eastern Province being the owner of several islands and the long coastline stretching towards the borderline of Khlong Yai District adjoin Koh Kong of Cambodia. At the present time, Trat is so-called the sea touring town of very fantastic islands known as “Andaman of the Eastern Sea”.
