Chinese New Year in Thailand

Thai-Chinese customs will hold 3-day operations is 1. Pay Day 2. Oblation Day or New Year's Eve and 3.New Year's Day.

1. Pay days is a day before New Year's Eve. A day that Thai-Chinese will have to buy food and offering a variety of fruits. Before all shops to close long for rest. In the evening they pay restpect their local god of the land and invite the Chinese God from heaven to receive the worship of the host.

2. Oblation Day or New Year's Eve. It will be 3 times for offering.

At dawn - Pay respect to Chinese God with at least 3 meat; streaky pork, cooked chicken, cooked duck or more but not over five types of meat then tea, liquor and silver and gold paper.

In the morning - Pay respect to ancestor, parents and relatives who passed away. This show gratitude by China principle. The offering will be not over noon. Offering will consist of a meat dish, fired vegetable, Chinese sweet snack, fruits (most will follow the deceased who have liked) as well as silver and gold paper, paper devoted to clothing for the deceased relatives. Then dine together to make a fortune to pay homage. And this time the family will gather at the most. To exchange Aung Bao after dining together then.

How to Getting Around Bangkok

The Skytrain runs daily form 6 am to midnight, while the MRTA operates daily from 5 am to midnight.
